Located in Barton Hills with a dramatic vista of the Barton Creek greenbelt below, the house offers a couple and their children a residence attuned to this singular site. A modest and compressed entry at the throat of a cul-de-sac opens to an impressive view as one enters the site, and then the home. The plan weaves between existing trees. The form prizes its great room, with a roof that peels up to invite copious light and expansive views. A slider opens to the outdoor living area, complete with pool and generous exterior spaces. Bedroom suites complete the end of the first floor. Above, a den and office culminate in an exterior deck. Rather than privileging one view, the design provides multiple spaces from which to experience the site.
